The Support Group for Working Mothers at Mason in conjunction with the Office of Sustainability will host a kids’ clothing and equipment swap Sept. 28-30 in Room 116 of the Johnson Center on the Fairfax Campus.
Participants are encouraged to bring something and take something away, so there will be no exchange of money. Collections only will begin at 9 a.m. on Sept. 28. The swap will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Sept. 28, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 29 and 30.
On Monday Sept. 28, the group will also hand out Mason Dining “Wooden Nickels,” while supplies last, to those who donate to the swap. The nickels can be used for $1 off food and beverage purchases on campus.
Group members are especially interested in outerwear and clothing items up to size 12, as well as children’s toys and equipment. There will be a reserved spot in the Johnson Center loading dock to deliver large items. Leftover donations will go to Salvation Army at the end of the swap meet on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
