Here’s what’s happening at the 10,000-seat Patriot Center this fall. A highlight is comedian Wayne Brady, who will be appearing as part of Mason’s Family Weekend.

Sept. 11-12 – Spirit of America – Sold out
A reincarnation of American history through the eyes of an American soldier.
Sept. 26 – Boxing: Jimmy Lange vs. Jonathan Reid
Lange defends his World Boxing Council U.S. National Boxing Championship Title.
Sept. 28 – Pink: Funhouse Tour
Grammy award-winning artist Pink performs. Featuring the Ting Tings.
Oct. 1 – Wisin y Yandel
Award-winning Reggaeton duo Wisin and Yandel performs.
Oct. 3 – UWC 7 Redemption
This Ultimate Warrior Challenge brings mixed martial arts competition to Mason.
Oct. 4 – Diwali Mela 2009: Indian Cultural Celebration
Pay just $5 to experience Indian culture.
Oct. 9 – Kelly Clarkson: All I Ever Wanted Tour
The chart-topping artist performs. Featuring The Veronicas and Parachute.
Oct. 17 – Wayne Brady
As part of Family Weekend, Mason University Life and Student Activities present the comedian who is currently the host of Fox’s “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” and appeared regularly on the TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Brady’s high-energy live shows combine improvisational comedy and song and dance tributes to his biggest inspirations. Tickets are now on sale to Mason students, faculty and staff. Special pricing is available at the Patriot Center box office only (maximum of two tickets) with a Mason ID. Mason students: $5; faculty and staff: $15; Mason student’s family members: $15. Tickets for the general public go on sale for $25 on Sept. 8.
Oct. 21-25 – Disney on Ice presents: Celebrations
Famous Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Disney villains and others — on ice.
Oct. 31 – Dethklok and Mastodon
The two popular metal bands will perform.

I cannot believe that every single seat is taken for these shows! I have someone that is coming home from Iraq and wanted to surprise her with a ticket to this event. ONE TICKET isn’t even available? I wouldn’t want her ‘in the rafters’ but she’s served our country.
