George Mason Dining Services invites students, faculty, and staff to participate in “Countdown to the Millennium: Dining through the Decades.” The New Year’s Eve-style celebration takes place Thursday, Dec. 9, from 5 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., in the Student Union II Ballroom. The party includes a variety of food stations, musical entertainment, prizes, and two balloon drops at midnight.

The event features food from various decades of the 20th century. Food station d├ęcor–high society of the 1920s, a 1950s sock hop, and a computer and technology station for the 1980s and 1990s, among others–includes a brief history of the food from that era.

The cost is $6.75 per person, and participants may re-enter the ballroom throughout the evening. Meal plans, Mason Money, and cash are accepted. Because of the party, Ciao Hall is closed for the evening. For more information, call x33300.
