The Unified Transformative Early Education Model (UTEEM) holds an information meeting on Thursday, Dec. 2, for those interested in learning more about the program and meeting UTEEM faculty members. The meeting is held at 5:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center, Room A.

This graduate program focuses on the centrality of culture for teaching and learning, and is geared toward people who want to teach culturally, linguistically, and ability-diverse young children, work with families, and gain hands-on experience with infants, preschoolers, and early school-age children. Features of the program include a master’s degree in education and Virginia licensure in early childhood education, early childhood special education, and English as a second language. Course work is linked to ongoing internships in diverse school and community settings. Tuition support and graduate assistantships are available on a limited basis.
