The entire Mason community is invited to participate, either individually or by creating teams. The money raised from entrance fees will go to the Victims of Violence Fund, which is managed by Sexual Assault Services and the Rape Aggression Defense Program (RAD) through University Police.
The cost is $15 for members of the general public; $12 for individual faculty or staff members; $10 for each faculty or staff member of a group; and $5 for students. Each runner will receive a T-shirt.
Raffle prizes will be handed out and trophies for the fastest runners and walkers, as well as the largest team, will be presented.
Registration may be done in advance; the application form is on the Sexual Assault Services web site. Late on-site registration begins at 10:30 a.m. on race day.
This year’s event is sponsored by Army ROTC, Intercollegiate Athletics and the Patriot Club, Sexual Assault Services and University Police.
