Plans are underway to create a School of Public Policy that would act as a catalyst for a wide range of public policy activities across the university. The goal is to develop a nationally recognized, first-tier program for master’s and Ph.D. education that includes a strong research program and a forum for public policy debate.
The university community is invited to attend an open forum on Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Johnson Center Cinema to discuss the issue. Questions and feedback from faculty members are especially encouraged.
The proposal goes before the Faculty Senate on Wednesday, Nov. 17, and before the Board of Visitors at its next meeting on Dec. 2. For more information, contact the Provost’s Office at x38776.
