Sophomore Frankie McLaughlin IV was named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Co-Wrestler of the Week for his performance in three dual matches during the final week of the 2008-09 dual season.
McLaughlin improved his record to 23-9 overall with the three victories.
McLaughlin started the week with a 10-4 decision over Julian Colon of Liberty before earning a CAA dual match win with an 8-2 decision over Drexel’s Billy Haydt in Mason’s 18-17 victory.
In his final match of the week, McLaughlin won a close 6-5 decision against Kyle John of the University of Maryland.
McLaughlin split the weekly award with Doug Umbehauer of Rider University.
