Theater of the First Amendment (TFA), Mason’s professional theater company, will join forces with Mason Pep Band leader “Doc” Nix and Mason choreographer Adriane Fang to bring a holiday blend of theater, music and dance to Old Town Hall in the City of Fairfax.
This festive performance on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. will feature a combination of interpretive dance, improvisational jazz tuba and spoken word performance. All of this will be punctuated by scenes from a new adaptation of the age-old “English Mystery Plays,” but with a modern twist, telling the tale of two bumbling shepherds stumbling into Bethlehem on a special night.
Part of First Fridays at Old Town Hall and as TFA’s holiday gift to the community, this event is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a holiday reception. Reservations are not required. In addition, Silpada Jewelry will be for sale at the event starting at 6:30 p.m. for holiday shopping. Proceeds will benefit TFA.
Old Town Hall is located at 3999 University Drive, Fairfax, Va., at the corner of University Drive and Main Street. Ample free parking is available nearby.
