Sept. 10—Frank Manheim, School of Public Policy, presented “Renewable Energy Policy” at Leisure World of Virginia (Discovery Group) in Lansdowne, Va.
Sept. 14—Marion Deshmukh, History and Art History, presented “What is History?” at the George Washington Birthplace National Monument in Colonial Beach, Va.
Sept. 20—Frank Manheim, School of Public Policy, presented “Drilling for Gas Off Virginia” at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Annandale, VA.
Sept. 22—Anita Taylor, professor emerita of communication, spoke at the Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, Va., on “Tales of the Grandmother, Revisited: More on Women and Work.”
Sept. 22—Karen Reedy, Dance, spoke to the Greenspring Players in Springfield, Va., on “How Do You Choreograph a Dance?”
Sept. 22—Robert Fells, alumnus, spoke to the men of the Centreville United Methodist Church in Centreville, Va., on “Prostate Cancer Awareness.”
Sept. 23—Robert Fells, alumnus, spoke to the Transportation Security Administration in Arlington, Va., on “Prostate Cancer Awareness.”
Sept. 23—Rich Miller, School of Recreation, Health and Tourism, spoke in Fairfax, Va., to the employees of the Fairfax County Government, Human Services Division, on “Stress Management.”
