Department of Music Announces September Events

Mason’s Department of Music has announced several musical events to start the academic year. All events will be held on the Fairfax Campus.

  • Faculty Showcase Recital

    Friday, Sept. 12, 8 p.m.

  • Jean Carrington Cook Memorial Scholarship Concert

    A “Grand” Piano Celebration featuring Mason piano faculty and students

    Sunday, Sept. 14, 4 p.m.

    Center for the Arts Concert Hall

    Tickets are $15 adults; $10 students/seniors

  • Wind Symphony Young People’s Concert

    Wednesday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.

    Center for the Arts Concert Hall

    Works to be performed include Francis Scott Key’s “The Star Spangled Banner” and Carmen Dragon’s arrangement of Samuel Ward’s “America the Beautiful”

    Featuring graduate student guest conductors
