Mason Hosts Virginia Governor's Commission on Climate Change

Mason's Fairfax Campus will host the fourth meeting of the Virginia Governor's Commission on Climate Change on Tuesday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Johnson Center's Dewberry Hall.
The meeting is open to the Mason community as well as the general public. Presentations at this meeting will
- Provide an update on congressional activity regarding climate change
- Examine the impacts of climate change on infrastructure and insurance
- Explore the economic and investment opportunities associated with emerging technologies to fight climate change
- Look at the potential impact of regulating greenhouse gas emissions and lessons learned from other countries that have done so
The commission will hear public comments from 4 to 5 p.m.
