Bob Dole talking to class
Harry Butowsky, History and Art History, uses Bob Dole’s book, “One Soldier’s Story: A Memoir” in his World War II in Europe course when the class discusses the challenges facing wounded and disabled service men after the war. Before Dole became one of America’s most respected statesmen, he was an average citizen who served in World War II. Butowsky invited the former U.S. senator and presidential candidate to talk to the class, which he did on Tuesday, April 29.
