Mason’s Office of Alcohol, Drug and Health Education (OADHE) encourages students, faculty and staff to take the ECHUG challenge during April, Alcohol Awareness Month.
ECHUG (Electronic Check-Up to Go) is a free online alcohol assessment. To use it, enter information specific to yourself and receive feedback on your typical blood alcohol concentration (BAC), comparison of your results to national statistics and education and tips on how to reduce alcohol’s impact on your body.
Go to adhe.gmu.edu/echug for this confidential screening.
As an incentive to encourage the Mason community to participate in the ECHUG challenge, OADHE will be awarding prizes on Thursday, April 10, for those who complete the survey. After completing the survey, print out your certificate of completion and turn it in at either the Student Health Center (Student Union Building I, Room 220) or to the kiosk in the Johnson Center at 5 p.m. on April 10.
Prizes to be awarded include an iPod Shuffle and gift certificates to the Mason Bookstore, restaurants and iTunes, as well as gas cards.
Also throughout the week, OADHE will be giving away “Think before You Drink” T-shirts. Get “found” wearing this shirt on Thursday, April 10, and the OADHE Prize Patrol will award you with a special prize. For more information, call OADHE at 703-993-3687 or 703-993-3170.
