The week of Mon., March 24 through Saturday, March 30, is being celebrated as Pride Week at Mason, supporting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) students, as well as informing and uniting the entire community on issues that surround queer community.
Pride Week will kick off on Monday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. with the film, “Follow My Voice,” a movie that follows the struggles and aspirations of four students that attend a high school for at-risk LGBTQ students.
During the rest of the week, there will be multiple activities for students, faculty, staff and the community to participate in such as ‘Love in Many Colors,’ a lecture and discussion panel about the diversity of love and connection; ‘Making Love Safer,’ the assembling and distributing of safe sex kits, ‘Igniting the Mic,’ a stand-up comedy show, as well as multiple receptions and luncheons for celebrating and professional networking opportunities.
