Students at kiosk in Johnson Center
For Valentine’s Day, Student Government leaders hosted a kiosk in the Johnson Center where students could donate money for roses and write cards to soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Students then personally delivered the cards, along with roses supplied by Freedom Alliance, a nonprofit organization. “The soldiers were so happy to see us there,” says Ryan Bloomfield, advocacy and outreach chair of the Student Senate. “We got the guys laughing, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.”
