One Stop Shop

 Student Amanda Torres makes a purchase at One Stop Patriot Shop, a new general store in the Blue Ridge residence hall on the Fairfax Campus. Open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week, the shop offers many of the items available in the Johnson Center convenience store, but will soon have an even wider variety of food, including fresh sandwiches and produce. “The university envisions an entire neighborhood in the northeast sector of campus,” says Michael Galvin, marketing and community affairs manager for Dining Services. “It is going to be like a small town in and of itself, and every small town needs a general store.” Photo by Nicolas Tan |
