A new photography exhibition at Mason’s Fine Arts Gallery, “5 Photographers,” will display the work of five visual artists/photographers, beginning Jan. 22 and running through Feb. 15 in the Fine Arts Gallery on the Fairfax Campus.

An opening reception at the gallery on Jan. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. will honor artists Gabriela Bulisova, Kelly Carr-Shaffer, Chan Chao, Jessica Cook and Xang Ho.

These five artists share a common medium of photography, yet there is no clear linkage in concept, thought and image between the artists. Each artist/photographer describes his or her interests in words and images ranging from humanistic documentation to the deeply interior worlds of the unconscious mind.

The Fine Arts Gallery is located on the ground floor of the Fine Arts Building in Room B104. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and by appointment.

The gallery program is a division of Mason’s College of Visual and Performing Arts.
