Mason’s Department of Music announces its highly anticipated holiday concert, “Musical Gifts: From Our House to Your House,” on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.

Traditionally performing to sold-out houses, Mason’s Department of Music instrumental and vocal ensembles present a program that includes old seasonal favorites, carols and the always popular audience sing-a-long.

This year, the roster of special guest conductors includes Sally Merten, wife of Mason President Alan Merten, as well as several music faculty members. Rick Davis, associate provost and artistic director of the Center for the Arts, will narrate “T’was the Night Before Christmas.”

The concert will include performances by the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra; the George Mason University Chamber Orchestra; the Mason Faculty Holiday Trio of Stan Engebretson, Anthony Maiello and Linda Monson; the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra; and the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra and Choirs.

The media sponsor for the Holiday Concert is Classical WETA 90.9 FM.

Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for students and seniors; and a limited number of tickets are free for students with a valid Mason ID. Charge by phone at 888-945-2468 or visit www.tickets.com.
