The second-annual Civil Engineering Career Fair is being hosted by Mason’s chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) on Monday, Nov. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall.

Employers from both the public and private sector within the civil engineering industry will be at Mason to look for graduate and undergraduate students to fill full-time, part-time and internship positions. Multiple fields will be represented at the fair, such as transportation, land development, information technology, environmental systems/regulation, hydrology, architecture, design-build, structural mechanics, operations research, project management and geographic information systems.

“This career fair is unique in that it is specifically catered to satisfy employer demands within the civil industry for talent across a broad range of specialties,” says Kalen Bauman, president of the ASCE chapter. “This way the students and public, beyond just those with civil engineering degrees, can have access to the wealth of opportunities and extensive benefits within this massive job sector.”

All students who attend the career fair should bring a copy of their resume and dress professionally. For more information about the Civil Engineering Career Fair, e-mail gmuasce@gmu.edu.
