Roe, acting president of the foundation since July 1, is the first Mason alumnus to be named foundation president. He joined the foundation staff in 1990 and has served as CFO since 1999. As CFO, he has worked directly with the foundation board and president in developing fiscal policies, generating budgets and overseeing the foundation’s endowment and real estate portfolios. During his tenure, the foundation’s overall asset base has grown to more than $230 million, and the endowment portfolio now exceeds $58 million.
Roe holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA, both from Mason. He is also an adjunct faculty member in accounting at Mason.
Roe holds memberships in the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Northern Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has twice been cited as a finalist in the Virginia Business Magazine “CFO of the Year” program.
White joined the foundation staff in 2002 and was named controller later that year. Previously, she was an audit manager with Arthur Andersen.
White holds a BBA in accounting from the College of William and Mary and is completing Mason’s MPA program, with a concentration in nonprofit management. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Northern Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
The George Mason University Foundation assists the university in generating private support and manages, invests and administers private gifts, including endowment and real property.
