University Police announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with the burglary of $89,000 of university property in February 2006 from Innovation Hall on the Fairfax Campus.
A fourth individual believed to be associated with the crime fled the United States and is wanted on other unrelated charges, police report.
The arrests come following an extensive and lengthy investigation in which Mason police worked closely with their counterparts at the College of William & Mary and Washington and Lee University. The investigation was also assisted by the television program, “America’s Most Wanted.”
The following suspects, all residents of Virginia, have been arrested and charged in this crime: Curtis White, 23, of McLean; Crystal Davis, 22, of Richmond; and Jason Cutler, 24, of Chesterfield. The fourth suspect who fled the country is John McLean, 21, whose last known address is Midlothian. None of the individuals had any affiliation with Mason, according to police.
The suspects are believed to have been involved in other college thefts across the country.
