Mason’s Office of Admissions will hold this year’s Showcase of Graduate Studies on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Johnson Center’s Dewberry Hall.
The showcase is open to anyone, including all members of the Mason community, who is interested in pursuing graduate studies at Mason. The event is almost at capacity, so registration is required.
This event will highlight more than 100 graduate programs Mason offers through the Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William and Loudoun locations.
“Mason graduate programs continue to gain national rankings and international notoriety,” says Daniel Robb, assistant dean of admissions. “We already have students registered to attend from all over the East Coast. The Showcase of Graduate Studies is an outstanding venue for everyone to find out more about Mason as a graduate destination.”
Participants will have the opportunity to meet some of the faculty who teach in the graduate programs and talk with admissions representatives from different programs. Two workshops, “Financing Graduate Education” and “Preparing for Graduate School,” will be offered twice throughout the showcase to assist students as they think about pursuing a graduate education.
“With more than 11,000 graduate students, Mason has grown dramatically both in stature and in numbers. We are pleased to offer the Showcase of Graduate Studies to present the diverse opportunities a graduate degree at Mason can offer,” says Robb.
The showcase is free of charge; however, registration is required. Last year, the event was almost at full capacity, so it is important that participants register early to ensure a spot is reserved. Register online at the Showcase of Graduate Studies RSVP web site.
