Farewell Reception to Honor Jobbitt

A farewell reception for Judy Jobbitt, president of the George Mason University Foundation and vice president for university development and alumni affairs, will be held in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall atrium on Thursday, June 28, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The entire George Mason community is invited to attend. The event is hosted by President Alan Merten, the George Mason University Foundation and the Alumni Association.
Jobbitt, who joined the university in 1999, plans to continue her career in the field of advancement as a consultant.
Highlights of Jobbitt’s tenure include
- The launch and successful completion of Mason’s first comprehensive fund-raising campaign, which raised $142 million in private support
- Surpassing the benchmark of $50 million for university endowment
- Financing and managing the construction of the $70 million Arlington Campus building
- Substantial growth in alumni outreach and in the donor base
