May 1—Wallace Warfield, Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution, presented “Cultural Identities in Conflict and Conflict Resolution” to Long and Foster Realtors in McLean, Va.
May 2—Marie Kodadek, College of Health and Human Services, presented “Contemporary Women’s Health Issues” to Homestretch in Falls Church, Va.
May 3—Fred Schack, School of Recreation, Health and Tourism, presented “Exercise and Chronic Disease” at the Franconia Springfield Senior Center.
May 10—Doris Bitler, College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Science, presented “Total Recall” at the Winston Knolls Home and Garden Club in Springfield, Va.
May 10—Leopoldo Yanes, alumnus, spoke to the senior citizens at Westminster at Lake Ridge on “The U.S. Budget Deficit and the World Economy.”
May 19—Rich Miller, School of Recreation, Health and Tourism, spoke to the American Association of University Women, Alexandria Branch, on “Stress Management.”
May 23—Karen Bune, Administration of Justice, presented “Homeland Security Issues” to the staff and seniors at Tall Oaks at Reston.
May 31—Sheryl Friedley, Communication, spoke to the staff at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, Washington, D.C., on “Male/Female Communication Styles in the Workplace.”
