Mason Voice Students Win at Regional Competition

Mason had four winners at the 2007 National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Mid-Atlantic Regional Voice Competition held April 13 and 14, at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The students singing at the regional level represent the state NATS winners from colleges and universities in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Mason had seven students competing at the regional level this year.

The winners, in several different categories, are

• Freshman Loralee Culbert, first place
  
• Freshman Tiera Furby, first place
  
• Sophomore Nichole Lewis, second place
  
• Junior Wayne Jennings, third place
